Wings to finsHello obscure treasure,
Like the colour hidden in black and white
Photography,
I see your night boats sink to places marked with an X.

My submarines are waiting to spy on you,
In these Piscean waters.
Above us are candlelit
Paper-lanterns,
Floating silently.
The reflection burns into another realm
Of cool, moving acetate.

We talk bubbles into the water,
We say:
"here are fires that are kindling backwards",
Breathing steadily
Underwater.

FrailAll I wanted was freedom like a feather. Somewhere in between people, to be able to sing songs of creation and the end. A space no one would even notice, so I could melt into myself. A few pieces of string to tie together in endless imitation of horizons and a gold marker for the Sun. All I wanted was a pebble to talk to when no one hears.

I planted flowers to stop them coming, made clouds softly rotate around my limbs. But the rain of embers is hard, so I made a roof against words, and the people hate the taciturn steel. It was not like lying on the grass under the blue marble sky between garden fences, one layer of silk would never do.

I get a sense that the double emphasis on 'blinded eyes' refers to the inner vision- when I look within I generally' look ' in a downward direction so it is interesting that the rays emanating from the crystal eyes are in the region of the Throat Chakra. The image in the poem of 'tearing and spewing colors ' is one that resonates even though wording it in that way is a concept new to me. Surrendering to a the deepest visions? Amen to that.

Yeah, you've got it. Oh, rays emanating from the throat chakra, really? Interesting. My intention was that there's two jewels on her throat. Somehow, it also felt right to leave some space between them, as if the colors were indeed pouring from the dynamic, invisible darkness between them and not the points themselves. It's repeated in the double stars inside what looks like a garland above her head - it's a symbol I've been including in some of my works lately. You noticed that the area right to her is shaped like a bear tearing up the canvas? I wonder if it's too obscure.
